* Oversee the 11kV electrical installation across the battery site and make sure safe systems of work are followed.
* Make sure all construction complies with relevant regulations, designs, specifications and drawings.
* Carry out regular inspections and quality control checks in line with the Inspection and Test Plan, identify deficiencies or non-compliance, and provide guidance or corrective measures.
* Ensure contractors keep accurate records in line with the Inspection and Test Plan and site procedures, stored in the appropriate online shared folder.
* Conduct and record weekly site H&S inspections, display H&S notices, and make sure all staff and subcontractors are briefed at induction.
* Ensure suitable PPE is available, maintained and properly stored, and that personnel are trained to use it.
* Contribute to project schedule development and monitor the construction schedule closely, making sure the team provides short-term lookahead programmes and holding daily and weekly coordination meetings with all contractors.
* Monitor the submission and approval of design and specification information from contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
What you’ll bring
* Proven multi-discipline site management experience in the energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors, with a strong electrical bias.
* Hands-on experience of 11kV electrical works.
* Strong understanding of H&S regulations, CDM Regulations and construction site safety management.
* Ability to manage multiple contractors and subcontractors, coordinate activities and resolve site issues proactively.
* Competence in quality control, inspection procedures and compliance checks against specifications and drawings.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, including clear site reports and good stakeholder relationships.
* HNC or degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Desirable
* Experience on battery energy storage or other renewable energy infrastructure projects.
* Familiarity with project execution standards, H&S manuals and inspection and test plan procedures.
* Knowledge of temporary works design, lifting procedures and principal contractor responsibilities.
* Project management qualification, or experience with construction scheduling and programme control Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
