Site Manager - Civils

Your new company
Our client, a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Derby, is seeking a Site Manager to join their delivery team. This multi-accredited organisation operates across a multitude of sectors, including the commercial, industrial and energy industries, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and hands-on professional development. They boast an impressive list of high-profile clientele delivering projects valued at up to £20m, and due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Site Manager to join their business. With sites across England and South Wales, you will be based on those closest to home, although you may be expected to commute and lodge at sites further afield if need be.

Your new role
As Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, organising and managing schemes from inception through to completion, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities, including material procurement, subcontractor management and workforce allocation
• Delivering site inductions and toolbox talks
• Solving any problems or challenges that may arise on site
• Providing progress reports and regularly communicating with the client and project team
• Conducting regular site inspections and maintaining accurate project documentation, including records of site activities.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

• Experience overseeing the successful delivery of groundworks and/or civil engineering works in a site management capacity, ideally within the industrial, commercial or energy industries
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
• Willingness to commute and lodge at sites further afield
• Full UK driving licence.
