Job Description - Site Manager (Large-scale Engineering)
Job Title: Site Manager Employment Type: Permanent Location: Based out of Derby office, Sites across Midlands Region & Nationwide. Project Type: Large-scale Engineering (Nuclear, Power Stations, Gar Terminals etc.) Role Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager who will be responsible for leading and coordinating site installation activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget. The role involves planning and managing site resources, supervising installation teams, maintaining strong relationships with customers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and company procedures. Key Responsibilities: Site & Project Management * Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation activities on designated sites. * Manage labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources to achieve project objectives efficiently and cost-effectively. * Monitor installation progress and provide regular updates, reports, and daily site records. * Act as the primary site liaison between Cullum, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments. * Support project planning and delivery through collaboration with design, manufacturing, and project management teams. * Supervise, guide, and support site installation personnel. * Foster a positive, productive, and safety-focused working environment. * Manage site personnel welfare, performance, and discipline where required. * Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in site operations. Health, Safety & Compliance * Lead by example in all matters relating to Health, Safety, Environmental, and welfare standards. * Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, industry regulations, and current legislation. * Support the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, lifting/crane plans, permits, and other HSE documentation. * Participate in site audits, inspections, surveys, and pre-site meetings. * Conduct regular worksite audits to ensure compliance with CDM regulations, permit controls, and company standards. * Maintain accurate project, site, and resource records using company systems. * Escalate significant project risks, issues, and developments to the Installations Manager. * Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and auditable. Required Experience & Qualifications: Qualifications * Recognised engineering trade qualification. * Full UK Driving Licence. Experience & Knowledge * Minimum two years' experience in a site installation environment. * Experience working with multiple contractors and customer stakeholders in industrial or engineering environments. * Strong understanding of site Health, Safety & Environmental requirements. * Ability to lead teams and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. * Knowledge and understanding of CDM Regulations (Desirable) * Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or Site Manager. * Experience in project planning, reporting, and project management. (Desirable) * Additional technical competencies and certifications (Desirable) Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
