A leading UK civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a major wastewater infrastructure project in Herefordshire. Working on a complex treatment works upgrade, you will join an established delivery team responsible for enhancing operational capacity through the construction of new process assets, civils works and associated infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to secure an initial short / medium-term contract role on a high-profile water sector project with a respected main contractor. With a strong change of being extended on the framework.
Your new role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and quality requirements.
Duties will include:
Managing subcontractors and direct labour on site Coordinating daily construction activities across civil and infrastructure works Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards Delivering works in accordance with programme milestones Managing site documentation, permits and records Liaising with engineers, supervisors and project management teams Monitoring quality assurance procedures and inspection plans Supporting commercial and project reporting requirements Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and supply chain partnersWhat you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering or utilities projects Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations SMSTS and CSCS certification First Aid qualification Willingness to complete a basic DBS checkDesirable
Experience working on treatment works projects Knowledge of MEICA interfaces Temporary Works awareness NRSWA Supervisor accreditationWhat you need to do now
