We are working with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to assist them in hiring a Site Manager for their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading contractor delivering major rail and civil engineering projects across Scotland. You will be responsible for managing site operations, leading project teams, and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers long-term career development with a business renowned for delivering complex infrastructure projects.
As the Site Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of rail and civil engineering projects from inception through to completion. * Leading site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently. * Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times. * Monitoring project progress, programmes, and resources while identifying and resolving site issues proactively. * Liaising with clients, stakeholders, engineers, and commercial teams to maintain strong working relationships. * Producing site documentation including RAMS, permits, progress reports, and ensuring all records are maintained accurately.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* Proven experience working as a Site Manager within rail, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary site teams. * A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, quality management, and project delivery. * Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Relevant industry qualifications including SMSTS and CSCS. PTS and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
