We are recruiting for a Site Operative to join a leading facilities services business that has been supporting Data Centres and critical IT environments for over 25 years. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience as a Site Operative, Industrial Cleaner or Facilities Operative, although no previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

Working as part of a specialist team, you will travel to client sites across the UK carrying out technical cleaning and maintenance services within Data Centres, server rooms and other critical environments.

Hours of work:

* Shift days and times vary depending on the job location and contract – Start times as early as 4:30am-6am

The Role

As a Site Operative, you will be responsible for delivering specialist cleaning and facilities services within highly controlled environments.

Duties include:

* Vacuuming contamination from inside floor-voids (this includes lifting of panels to access the void).

* Vacuuming contamination from inside ceiling voids (this includes the use of step ladders to access the void).

* Vacuuming of IT equipment (external casing of the servers).

* Using rotary buffing machines to clean the vinyl floor surfaces.

* Using water-based cleaning products to remove all dirt from hard surfaces.

* To work safely and in accordance with the project Risk & Method Statements.

* To report anything of concern to the project Team leader.

* To be compliant with all Dynamic Risk Assessments completed onsite.

What We’re Looking For

* CSCS Card (Essential)

* Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)

* Willingness to travel throughout the UK and work away from home

* Comfortable carrying out manual and physically active work

* Strong work ethic and positive attitude

* Ability to follow health and safety procedures

* Good communication and teamwork skills

Experience working within industrial cleaning, working in an construction or a labouring role is preferred, however full training will be provided.

Beneficial but not essential:

* MEWP / Truck mounted plant / vehicles

* IPAF, PASMA

* SSSTS

* First Aid certificate

* Working at heights certificate

* Harness training
