Site Services Assistant – SEN School

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Services Assistant to join our friendly and supportive SEN school. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Site Services Assistant to play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.

As a Site Services Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running and upkeep of the school site, ensuring everything operates efficiently to meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Site Services Assistant:

* Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks across the school site

* Support health & safety compliance and ensure the school remains a safe environment

* Assist with site security including opening and closing the premises

* Monitor and maintain cleanliness and presentation of indoor and outdoor areas

* Support contractors and oversee site work where needed

* Assist with moving furniture, setting up rooms, and event preparation

* Undertake regular site checks and report any issues promptly

What we’re looking for in a Site Services Assistant:

* Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaking, or Site Services Assistant role is desirable

* Practical, hands-on skills with the ability to fix and maintain equipment and facilities

* Strong awareness of health & safety procedures

* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

* Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach

* A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children with SEN
