Are you an experienced Facilities, Site Services or Utilities Engineer looking to take ownership of the facilities function within a busy manufacturing environment?
This is an opportunity to join an established food manufacturer as their Facilities Manager, taking responsibility for the site's critical utilities, infrastructure and associated compliance.
It would suit someone already working within facilities/site services management, or a strong Site Services Engineer who has the technical knowledge and experience to make the step into a broader position with more responsibility and autonomy.
What you'll be doing:
* Taking responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the site's steam boilers and steam distribution network. * Managing compressed air systems, including associated distribution equipment. * Overseeing chillers, refrigeration and HVAC systems across the facility. * Coordinating statutory and insurance inspections, ensuring remedial actions are completed appropriately. * Managing planned and reactive maintenance across facilities and building services. * Coordinating specialist contractors and external service providers. * Ensuring site utilities and facilities equipment remain compliant with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. * Taking responsibility for general building and external area maintenance. * Working closely with the wider engineering and production teams to ensure reliable site services and minimise disruption to manufacturing.
What we're looking for:
* An engineering qualification with experience working within **facilities, utilities or site services**. * Previous experience within a manufacturing or process environment, ideally **food, beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical or similar * Practical knowledge of several of the following: steam boilers, compressed air, chillers, refrigeration, HVAC, water treatment and associated distribution systems * A good understanding of compliance and statutory requirements surrounding industrial utilities. * Experience managing contractors and coordinating external engineering support. * Strong communication, organisation and IT skills.
