MacArthur Recruitment are looking for a Site Supervisor who has worked in a commercial buildings maintenance role(s) previously; doing small scale repairs and maintenance tasks yourself and escalating larger works to sub-contractors where you will supervise them.
The role is based around the Preston area, supporting two sites with possible travel to South Cumbria on occasion.
The role is proposed to be temporary to permanent where youâll work as agency staff for a few months before going staff, on the clientâs books. The role is with a large, family owned organisation who look after their staff.
Overview of the role of Site Supervisor, Maintenance :
⢠Liaise with the help desk to make sure all company and client reporting systems are implemented.
⢠Act as Health and Safety Representative carrying out routine health and safety checks
Carrying out the following regular checks:-
⢠Carry out routine maintenance or escalate to the help desk / sub-contractors
⢠Risk assessment, RAMS
⢠Check building fabric damage and action as appropriate
⢠Carry out statutory and maintenance checks to plant and equipment.
⢠Fire alarm and fire extinguisher checks
⢠Keep public access areas clear of debris
⢠Liaise with client contact regarding outstanding maintenance issues
⢠Where practicable, ensure that a daily general up-keep of all sites is maintained.
⢠Induct and supervise any external contractors or visitors attending site.
⢠Main point of contact on the site and to oversee any works.

⢠Basic DIY Skills. (door handles, re-hanging cupboard doors, changing bulbs, fire alarm tests, etc.)
⢠Good communication skills and team player â helping colleagues
⢠Good listener
⢠Valid driving licence.
⢠Conflict management.
⢠First Aider.
⢠IT literate
⢠Legionella General Awareness (training provided)
⢠CITB Site Supervisors Course / CSCS would be a bonus but not mandatory.
⢠Mansafe Awareness â sign off on RAMS, risk assessments.
