Site Supervisor Passive Fire

SCOPE

1. This is a hands-on supervisory role supporting the delivery of passive fire projects, particularly fire door installations and associated passive fire works.
2. The Passive Fire Site Supervisor will coordinate site activities, support installers and subcontractors, carry out surveys and inspections, deliver site briefings, maintain compliance records and support quality handovers.
3. The successful candidate will ideally come from a carpentry or fire door installation background and have practical knowledge of social housing, occupied properties, passive fire compliance and customer care.

KNOWLEDGE

Minimum qualifications for this role are:

•      SSSTS.

•      Full UK Driving Licence.

•      CSCS Card appropriate to the role.

•      Carpentry background.

•      Certified fire door installation experience.

•      Understanding of passive fire protection principles.

•      Knowledge of Building Regulations and fire safety requirements.

•      Understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites.

•      Experience using Joblogic or similar digital reporting systems.

•      Understanding of Golden Thread requirements and evidence collection

Essential

1. Proven carpentry experience.
2. Experience installing certified fire doors.
3. Experience supervising installers or subcontractors.
4. Ability to carry out fire door surveys, condition assessments and quality inspections.
5. Experience working within occupied residential buildings.
6. Strong communication skills when dealing with residents and tenants.
7. Ability to organise daily site activities.
8. Ability to deliver Toolbox Talks and daily briefings.
9. Good attention to detail.
10. Strong IT skills.
11. Strong health and safety awareness.
12. Professional and customer-focused approach.
13. Ability to travel between multiple sites daily.

Desirable

1. FDIS qualification.
2. IFE Level 2 Passive Fire Protection.
3. NVQ Level 2 or above in Passive Fire Protection.
4. First Aid at Work.
5. FIRAS, BlueSky, BM TRADA or equivalent industry experience.
6. Experience working on social housing frameworks.
7. Experience with fire stopping systems.
8. Experience supporting RAMS, CPPs and risk assessments.
9. Experience with Joblogic.

DUTIES

1. Coordinate day-to-day site activities.
2. Organise installers, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
3. Carry out site visits, surveys and inspections.
4. Deliver daily briefings and Toolbox Talks.
5. Liaise with residents, tenants and clients regarding planned works.
6. Support access arrangements and customer care requirements.
7. Carry out fire door surveys and installation quality inspections.
8. Record photographs, inspection findings and project information using Joblogic and company systems.
9. Support Golden Thread evidence requirements.
10. Assist with quality inspections and project handovers.
11. Raise issues relating to quality, safety, programme or access.
12. Support RAMS, CPPs, COSHH assessments and Site Documentation.
13. Attend team meetings and client meetings where required.
14. Support audits and accreditation inspections.
15. Promote safe working practices and quality workmanship.
16. Uphold EWC values and standards at all times.
