We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND school in Wandsworth for a dedicated Sixth Form SEN Teacher to join their exceptional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with post-16 learners, delivering a personalised curriculum that develops academic achievement, communication, life skills and employability.

The Role As a Sixth Form SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students aged 16–19 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Support students with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech & Language needs and associated communication difficulties.
Deliver a curriculum focused on functional skills, independence, employability, community participation and preparation for adulthood.
Develop personalised learning programmes aligned to EHCP outcomes.
Promote students' confidence, resilience and social development.
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external agencies.
Monitor progress and contribute to annual reviews and transition planning.The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Minimum of BSL Level 2 
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a specialist or post-16 setting.
Excellent understanding of differentiated teaching and personalised learning.
Passion for supporting young people to achieve independence and positive destinations beyond school.
Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.Desirable
Experience teaching Functional Skills English, Maths or Employability.
Knowledge of Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) outcomes.
Experience supporting students with Autism, SEMH or complex learning needs.
SEND qualification or specialist training.What We Offer
