Skilled Labourer

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Skilled Labourer to work across East Sussex, based in Uckfield. You will be working alongside an experienced team on high-end residential conversions, refurbishments and new build passive homes.

About the hours & salary
This is a self-employed Skilled Labourer position working 8 hours per day, starting at 7.30am, with two half-hour breaks and you will receive a salary of £150 per day, depending on experience.

About the role
As a Skilled Labourer, you will support the construction team across a range of exciting high-end building projects, including bespoke conversions and energy-efficient new build passive homes. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same and your duties will include:

Assisting skilled tradespeople with day-to-day construction tasks
Preparing and maintaining work areas to ensure projects run efficiently
Loading, unloading and moving building materials and equipment
Carrying out general labouring duties on site
Supporting first and second fix carpentry work where required
Keeping the site clean, safe and organised at all times
Working as part of a professional team to deliver projects to the highest standards
About you
To be successful in the role of Skilled Labourer, you must have / be:

Previous experience working as a Skilled Labourer on construction sites
A strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
Reliable, punctual and able to work using your own initiative
Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work
Pride in producing high-quality work
Polite, professional and able to communicate courteously with clients and colleagues
Own transport is essential due to travel between sites across East Sussex
