Skilled Operative

We are looking for a Skilled Operative to join our operations team, based in Hull.

Vanguard Healthcare Solutions we are a British, privately owned, international clinical services and infrastructure provider supporting healthcare clients across the UK and worldwide.

Our purpose-designed and built modular and mobile facilities provide our clients with new or replacement Operating Theatres, Wards, Endoscopy Suites and Decontamination and diagnostic units. As part of our solution to our clients we also support them with clinical teams and equipment.

The Skilled Operative will demonstrate a diverse range of transferable skills such as fabricating steel modular chassis, building drywall partitions, and joinery, which will contribute to the successful manufacture of our modular healthcare buildings.

Responsibilities

* Support and promote Line Manager’s requirements from the team, checking own understanding, listening carefully, and encouraging colleagues of the value of doing the same

* Team player, able to work collaboratively with others in order to achieve project deliverables, role modelling appropriate behaviors at all times

* Follow safe working procedures and ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues at all times

* Responsible for the correct and safe use of PPE, tools, equipment, and materials within your control

* Minimise waste through care and control of materials

* Promote and work to the company quality management framework

* Takes a ‘right first time’ approach, ensuring work is delivered to a consistently high standard, balancing the need to deliver to deadlines with the need to take care that the installation is defect free

Requirements

* Knowledge and experience across all aspects of modular manufacturing

* Demonstrates experience in a variety of skills relevant to the modular construction process; steel fabrication; joinery; drywall etc

* Holds relevant vocational qualifications and/or industry recognised skills cards (including plant operation)

* Has completed other formal training related to their specific area of expertise

* Is familiar with ‘5S’ principles
