Skills Coach - Retail, Customer Service & Management
Salary: Up to £30K
Location: Glasgow

Are you an inspiring and motivational mentor with a passion for guiding learners to success?

We are seeking experienced Skill Coaches with a strong background in Retail, Customer Service, and Management to join our team. As a trusted and caring mentor, you will provide both pastoral and academic support to help learners thrive in their SQA Modern Apprenticeship programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Coach, assess, and mentor learners towards successful and timely completion of their learning programmes.
Foster cohesive and communicative relationships with learners and employers.
Deliver inspirational support and guidance, facilitating interactive and engaging sessions.
Adapt learning programmes to meet the needs of clients, learners, and stakeholders.
Provide in-depth coaching and mentoring using effective frameworks.
Overcome barriers to progress, ensuring inclusive and diverse learning.
Collaborate with Specialist Trainers for formative and summative assessments.
Maintain accurate learner documentation in e-portfolio systems.
Conduct skills gap analysis to identify learner starting points and achievements.
Deliver immersive, differentiated learning experiences that embed Maths and English.

Essential Qualifications:

Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
Sector competency in Retail, Customer Services, and Management.
Level 3 Award in Education & Training (or willingness to acquire).

Desirable Qualifications:

L&D9DI Assess Workplace Competence Using Direct and Indirect Methods Assessor Award or equivalent.
ILM Level 3 Certificate in Effective Coaching & Mentoring.

Skills and Experience:

Experience developing individualised learning plans and SMART targets.
Proven ability to embed behavioural change through coaching.
Proficiency in using digital technologies for learning delivery.
Strong track record of liaising with employers and external agencies.
Expertise in providing interactive and engaging adult education.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Experience in an accredited environment and familiarity with awarding organisations and regulatory bodies such as SQA and SDS.
