Job Description


Location:               James Hamilton Heritage Park, East Kilbride

Hours:                    35 hours per week

Work Pattern:        4 week shift pattern

Week 1:                  Monday - Wednesday 8am - 4.30pm, Thursday 8am - 3pm, Saturday 11am - 6.30pm, Sunday 2pm - 9.30pm

Week 2:                  Monday - Friday 3pm - 10.30pm

Week 3:                  Tuesday 8am - 3pm, Wednesday and Thursday 11am - 6pm

Week 4:                  Wednesday and Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 4pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am - 3pm

Salary:                    £33,468 - £34,399 per annum

Duration:                Fixed term until 31 March 2027

Do you enjoy working outdoors, leading teams, and delivering excellent customer service? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Duty Officer to support the day-to-day operation of our Watersports Centre as part of our overall Outdoor Recreation team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll support the day-to-day operation of outdoor recreation facilities, ensuring visitors enjoy a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience.

Working closely with the management team, you will help ensure safe, efficient operations while maintaining high standards of customer care. Responsibilities include staff supervision and development, health and safety management, financial administration, training delivery, and supporting events and projects.

About You

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a dynamic outdoor environment and has experience leading and supporting teams.

You will have:

  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience of health and safety management in an outdoor customer environment
  • Experience of facility operations and staff supervision

You will also be a supportive team player with a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences.

Please note: A full UK manual driving licence is an essential requirement for this role due to the operational nature of the post and travel between sites.
