ISP SLM Systems Specialist Role Profile
 
Purpose of Role
The ISP SLM Systems Specialist will be part of the Central technical team responsible for implementing the strategic Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) solution and providing operational support post go live. 
The role will act as a consultant across all regions ensuring that each school adopts the SLM and maximises the benefits of the SLM components. Responsibilities will include providing best practice guidance, helping with queries/issues as they arise, running training sessions & producing training materials along with audits of implementation adherence to standards.

ISP SLM Systems Specialist Key Responsibilities
  • Act as SLM systems expert providing support to schools during the implementation and post implementation processes
  • Within implementation phase, support the data import process including quality assurance of data provided by school, support the training sessions, support the configuration and pre-go live activities
  • Within the post implementation phase, support the periodic academic processes (e.g. roll-over, reporting cycles)
  • Run “drop in” sessions as required for Regional and school staff with any SLM queries
  • Chair the Regional MIS Reps Monthly Meetings and contribute to the system channel of Q&A and best practice articles
  • Work with the Central Implementation team members to design training programmes and user guides responding to the individual school requirements based on the implementation plan and roll out approach agreed with them.
  • At as business partner to Regions and schools to ensure they are getting the optimum benefit from the iSAMS MIS and NetSuite platforms.
  • Provide translation services for meetings, as required.
  • Deliver training both onsite and online to groups and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Assist with the development of new training courses and materials including user guides and videos.
  • Assist with the training of new and existing school staff, including provision of refresher training.
  • Evaluate the success of training delivery and to use feedback to adapt and improve future training, both content and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the SLM components and their system developments (features/functionality/products/services).
  • Help develop best practice guidelines and instructions for SLM platforms and promote usage of modules to schools where they can offer clear benefit.
  • Work effectively within the team of Regional iSAMS/NetSuite reps to share knowledge & best practices and provide cover during absences.
  • Develop effective relationship with software vendors to understand roadmap of changes to the platforms and resulting changes in standard vendor training courses, incorporating those changes into the ISP materials.
  • Support ISAMS training in additional languages as well as English & Spanish (e.g. Italian, French)
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks or projects which support ISP business needs and are within the post holders’ capabilities. 
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish is essential. Other languages are highly desirable
  • Previous experience of teaching or delivering training, both online and in person. Highly desirable for this to include technology/software training
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An organised approach, with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Empathetic approach to dealing with individuals and our schools
  • A self-motivated team player combining excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
  • A flexible ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to respond to changing priorities when required
  • An advocate for technology and MS Office proficient
  • Experience of working in the education sector and previous experience working with a Student IT (MIS) system would be beneficial.
