Smoke Alarm Monitoring Officer – Camden

We are currently recruiting for a Smoke Alarm Monitoring Officer to carry out smoke alarm inspections and fire safety checks across residential properties in Camden.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting smoke alarms, identifying and reporting faults, and ensuring communal areas meet fire safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out regular smoke alarm inspections across residential properties, identifying and reporting any faults or issues.

Check smoke alarms and identify where minor repairs or installations are required.

*

Inspect communal areas for fire safety hazards, including unsafe storage, missing signage and other health and safety concerns.

Report and assist with the removal of hazardous items from communal areas, working alongside colleagues where required.

*

Install or replace missing and damaged fire safety signage.

*

Travel between properties throughout the day, completing inspections and maintaining a professional approach when dealing with residents.

Ideal Candidate

*

Previous experience in smoke alarm inspections, fire safety checks or a similar property inspection role.

*

Good understanding of smoke alarms and general fire safety requirements.

*

Ability to identify and report fire safety hazards accurately.

*

Comfortable carrying out minor repairs and installations.

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

*

Full UK driving licence due to the mobile nature of the role.

This is a mobile Smoke Alarm Monitoring Officer position, primarily focused on smoke alarm inspections, identifying fire safety issues and completing associated minor works
