Snowflake Technical Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Technical Expert and Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Snowflake, cloud data warehousing, and a strong background in data architecture. This role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake-based data solutions to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Design:

Design and implement scalable and secure data architecture using Snowflake, ensuring alignment with best practices and company standards.
Data Modeling:

Develop and maintain complex data models and schema designs for Snowflake, supporting various business applications and analytics needs.
ETL/ELT Processes:

Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation, leveraging Snowflake capabilities.
Performance Tuning:

Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, including query optimization, resource management, and storage optimization.
Security:

Implement robust security measures, including data encryption, access control, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Collaboration:

Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful project delivery.
Innovation:

Stay up-to-date with the latest Snowflake features and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve data architecture and processes.
Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Snowflake architecture, processes, and procedures.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture and data warehousing.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices.
Proficiency in SQL and database design.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with data security and governance practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Snowflake certification(s).
Experience with data integration tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Matillion.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
