Job Description - Social Housing Associate

Associate / Senior Associate Solicitor – Social Housing & Regeneration

PQE: 5+ Years

Location: North West (Liverpool, Cheshire) – Hybrid working available

Hours: Full-time or part-time (negotiable)

My client, a progressive and award-winning North West law firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join their expanding Social Housing & Regeneration team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked team, advising Registered Providers on a broad range of housing and asset management matters.

Key responsibilities include:

Acting for social landlords on possession, injunction, ASB, and leasehold matters
Advising on policy, governance, and regulatory compliance
Providing advocacy in the County Court
Supporting legislative updates, ombudsman complaints, and public law issues
Supervising junior staff and contributing to business development

The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years’ PQE with strong social housing litigation experience
Excellent advocacy and communication skills
Commercial awareness and a solution-focused mindset
Experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues
A commitment to client care and the firm’s social values
