Job Description - Social media manager

*Job title: Social Media Manager *Salary type : Up to £40k + Package *Job type: Full time *Location: 4 days per week in the Ashford Kent office, by Ashford International Station, 25 mins train from London St Pancras (possible flexibility for Hybrid, but since it's a startup they're hoping for someone comfortable to come into the office full time) Aquent is recruiting an experienced Social Media Manager / Content Manager to join a dynamic and pioneering start-up in the carbon solution space, where revolutionary ideas are shaping the future of sustainability.

Be at the forefront of transforming ethical practices and play a key role in steering pioneering marketing and communication initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible to oversee the development and execution of our content strategy, managing social media platforms, assets, and communication materials directed towards investors.

As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in shaping the narrative and engaging our audience in support of our sustainable initiatives.

Our client specialises in environmental conservation initiatives.

They are committed to environmental stewardship and sustainability across their operations.

Leveraging advanced technology, they ensure fair compensation for stakeholders while emphasising the importance of preserving natural habitats and ecosystems.

Creating content including copy, Linked In/Instagram and making videos for a You Tube channel, Facebook and Tik Tokok would be great to setup.

Collating footage - working on their own – but potential to expand the team into future.

This position will be working alongside the CMO.

Key Responsibilities: Content Creation and Management: Develop and curate engaging and relevant content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and other communication channels.

Create compelling narratives that highlight the company's achievements, projects, and initiatives in the realm of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Social Media Management: Manage and grow the company's presence on social media platforms, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media content with overall marketing and communication strategies.

Asset Management: Oversee the creation, organisation, and maintenance of visual and written assets, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and effectively communicate key messages.

Work closely with design and creative teams to produce visually appealing and on-brand materials.

Investor Communication: Develop and manage communication materials, including mailers and newsletters, targeted towards investors and stakeholders.

Ensure timely and relevant updates are communicated to investors, fostering transparency and trust.

Performance Analytics: Monitor and analyse the performance of content and social media initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Utilise analytics tools to track engagement, reach, and other relevant metrics.

Experience: Proven experience in content management, with a focus on social media and investor communication.

Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to craft compelling and persuasive content.

Experience in managing social media platforms and creating content that resonates with diverse audiences.

Familiarity with asset management, ensuring consistency in brand representation across various materials.

Knowledge of sustainable practices and a passion for environmental responsibility.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
