We are a leading Building Services (MEP) Consultancy looking for a driven Social Value Manager to lead, shape, and embed our social value and sustainability initiatives across the North West. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between engineering design, public procurement requirements, and local community needs—ensuring our MEP projects leave a lasting, positive legacy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Delivery: Develop and deliver project-specific Social Value strategies across our MEP engineering portfolio, ensuring alignment with client targets and frameworks (e.g., PPN 06/20, National TOMs).

Bids & Proposals: Work directly with our business development and bid teams to write winning social value responses for public and private sector tenders.

Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with local councils, educational institutions, social enterprises, and community groups across the North West to coordinate STEM initiatives, work experience, and local career pathways.

Impact Measurement & Reporting: Use industry frameworks (such as the Social Value Portal or Loop) to track, capture, and present quantitative and qualitative impact data to clients and internal leadership.

Internal Advisory: Act as the internal subject matter expert, coaching engineering teams on how design decisions impact community health, local supply chains, and social equity.

What We Are Looking For

Relevant Experience: 2+ years in a Social Value, CSR, or Community Impact role—ideally within the Built Environment, Construction, Engineering, or Professional Services.

Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with social value measurement frameworks (e.g., National TOMs, Social Value Portal) and public sector procurement standards.

Strong Communication: Exceptional bid writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage everyone from project directors to grassroots charities.

Data & Analytical Skills: Experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting social impact metrics clearly and accurately.

North West Focus: A strong understanding of the local economic, social, and community landscape across the North West region.
