Social Worker

Location: Bath & North East Somerset
Contract Duration: 3+ months
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
Rate: £32 per hour (umbrella)
Inside IR35 | Hybrid Role (50% in-county, 50% remote)

Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our dedicated Learning Disability and Autism Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible difference by supporting some of our most vulnerable residents and addressing our highest priority cases.

• Complete Care Act Assessments, Reviews, and person-centred Support Planning

• Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments (MCAs)

• Work collaboratively with our Brokerage Service to implement care packages

• Focus on clearing the longest-wait cases on our waiting list, including annual reviews, unscheduled reviews, and first-time assessments

• Carry out face-to-face visits and assessments in the community (minimum 50% in-county working required)

We're looking for a Social Worker who is:

• A qualified and registered social worker with strong experience in Learning Disabilities and Autism

• Confident in applying the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act

• Ideally experienced in using Liquid Logic or similar case management systems

• A car driver with access to a vehicle - essential due to the community-based nature of the role

• Passionate about delivering inclusive, person-centred care
