Salary:£42,262 -£47,460 per annum (inclusive of local weighting & market supplement)

Social Personnel is currently recruiting on behalf of Slough Children First, who are seeking dedicated Children Looked After Social Workers to join their committed and forward-thinking team.

As a Social Worker in the Children Looked After service, you will:

• Work with children and young people aged 0-18 whose care plans involve long-term care or adoption

• Build strong, trusting relationships to help them achieve stability and positive outcomes

• Manage a caseload of looked after children, creating care plans and conducting reviews, assessments, and statutory visits

• Support Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC), with training provided for conducting age assessments

• Collaborate with carers, other professionals and services to safeguard children and promote permanency

• Exceptional management support and supervision

• Flexible and hybrid working options

• Individual training plans and CPD opportunities

• A culture of openness and listening to both staff and young people

• A strong commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and inclusive services

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration (essential)

• Demonstrable post-qualified experience in a children and families team (essential)

• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in children’s social care

• Ability to plan, assess and intervene effectively with complex cases

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A driving licence and access to a car are desirable
