Social Worker Childrens Court

Liquid Personnel is two experienced Social Workers to join its client's Children’s Court Team based in Wrexham. This is a fantastic opportunity for practitioners with strong court experience to work within a dedicated specialist team managing care proceedings and complex statutory work. The successful candidates will be based at 31 Chester Street, Wrexham, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring 3–4 days per week in the office.

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Manage a caseload of Children’s Court work, including care proceedings under public law.


• Complete high-quality assessments, statements, and court reports within set timescales.


• Represent the local authority in court and work closely with legal services.


• Undertake direct work with children and families to assess risk and promote safeguarding and permanence planning.


• Ensure all statutory duties are met in line with legislation, guidance, and local procedures.


• Maintain accurate, timely case records using electronic case management systems.


• Work collaboratively with internal teams, legal professionals, and partner agencies.


• Participate in supervision and contribute positively to team working.

Skills and Qualification Required: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Degree level qualification in Social Work (or equivalent).


• Registered with Social Care Wales.


• Significant post-qualified experience within Children’s Services.


• Essential experience in court work and care proceedings.


• Strong analytical, report-writing, and time management skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced statutory environment.


• Eligible to work in the UK.
