Rate: £38.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time Locum (Monday–Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Hybrid (Office & Home Working)

SW Locums is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team at West Sussex County Council. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive authority while making a real difference to vulnerable children and families.

The Role

You will undertake high-quality assessments, child protection investigations, care planning, and direct work with children, helping to safeguard young people and achieve positive long-term outcomes.

During duty weeks, you'll be expected to work from the office, with flexibility to work from home at other times where service needs allow.

Requirements

Social Work England registration.

*

Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience in permanent Local Authority Children's Services in England.

Recent frontline child protection and safeguarding experience.

*

Strong assessment and risk management skills.

*

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with travel across the western area of West Sussex required.

Please note: The pay rate is £38.00 per hour in line with the Council's Market of Choice framework.
