Job Description - Social Worker -Learning Disabilities Team -Swindon
Social Workers required for work within the Learning Disabilities Team in Swindon. Excellent rates of pay up to £40ph. 3 month minimum contract but likely extended. 37 hours per week. Exciting opportunity in a lovely area with good transport links from M4 and the beautiful Cotswold countryside. Flexible hybrid working.
key Accountabilities
* To provide statutory support to adults with care and support needs and their carers / families, which includes information and advice, assessment, support planning and safeguarding. * Comply with legal frameworks for social care in line with personalisation principles, which aim to put individuals, families and communities at the heart of care and wellbeing and in doing so strengthen relationships between members of that community and build social capital. * Operate within defined budgets for social care. * To undertake Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Best Interest decisions in line with the MCA (2005) principles. * Work in partnership and liaison with partners including primary, secondary and tertiary health care, private providers, voluntary sector organisations and others to provide coordinated support for individuals and / or carers.
We are looking a social worker who focuses on people, their strengths and the networks and communities around them and who is competent and knowledgeable in all areas of Adult Social Care practice. This includes a sound and evidenced understanding of the legislative frameworks and an individual who has evidenced continued professional development, to ensure their practice quality is constantly evolving.
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
