Software engineer

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Service Now Platform Architect in London to work for our client within the Finance sector.

Our client’s technology teams in the UK work closely with their global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow their millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely.

The cyber team is undergoing transformation and adopting Service Now as a strategic platform to digitise processes with the aim of improving colleague experience.

The vision is to make Service Now the sole engagement platform for users so the client needs a Service Now Platform Architect with extensive knowledge of Service Now across multiple products and capabilities.

Responsibilities This role requires a strong and hands-on Service Now Platform Architect who can provide technical expertise against demands considering the platform’s architecture, capabilities, and best practices.

These include the production of good quality technical documentation to support internal governance processes as well as development teams/partners in line with Service Now’s Implementation best practices.

This role will work as part of a global team and will interact with senior business and technical stakeholders across the organisation.

Service Now is widely used across the organisation and this implementation provides the job holder with a great opportunity to influence how the organisation matures its Service Now Centre Of Excellence and Innovation within the CTO office.

Technical Requirements Demonstrate significant experience (minimum 5 years) in multiple and complex Service Now implementations with proven exposure to a variety of Service Now products ideally beyond ITSM/ITOM.

Hold relevant and current Service Now certifications (e.g.: CMA, CTA, CSA, Implementation Specialist etc.).

In depth knowledge of integrations between Service Now and multiple system of records.

Expert knowledge around integrations (Integration Hub or custom – REST/API etc.) expected.

Ability to provide technical governance and design leadership across multiple areas of the Service Now platform, including: functionality, data modelling (CSDM) , developer APIs, development tools etc.

Experience in developing and maintaining architectural roadmaps ensuring a balance between product features and the platform’s health is maintained.

Excellent communication skills as leading stakeholder workshops and meetings will be mandatory (including System Integrator experience) as well as offering guidance on prototyping and accelerating time from design to deployment.

Ability to support and coach developers and administrators as required.

Serve as a point of escalation on critical and complex incident troubleshooting.

Core understanding of Agile Methodology and ITIL based processes.
