Software Engineer

This is an initial 6-month contract. It is a hybrid role with two days working from the Edinburgh, Manchester, or Leeds office (whichever one is closest to you!).

What you’ll do
Working with one of our leading financial services clients as their Developer, you'll:
Write/develop code that is maintainable and re-usable.
Perform testing of code to ensure functionality is correct - own code but also peer reviewing.
Develop knowledge of TIS Platform, processes & procedures.
Create documentation relating to platform, processes & playbooks.
TIS System Administration - platform configuration & management, troubleshooting & resolving issues with incoming feeds and apps, user management & audit, system health checks.
TIS Support - monitoring Support mailbox, responding to support tickets and stakeholder queries, resolving issues with platform, interacting with external support teams.
Manage change requests & activity for the platform and playbooks across Non-Prod and Prod environments.

What you'll bring
Programming concepts & logic/UI Playbook Development.
Troubleshooting skills (Feeds, Apps, Platform issues, Network issues, Playbook debugging)
Understanding of Technical IT issues to enable discussions with internal and external technical resources.
Ability to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT/TIS and systems knowledge.
Experience using REST APIs
Knowledge of Linux
Networking experience (Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, VPNs, protocols)
Network Security knowledge
Familiar with Regular Expressions
