This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level Software Engineer to join an established, innovative Medtech company, originally spun out of Oxford University. The Software Engineer will use prior commercial experience of Python to develop state-of-the-art medical imaging software and techniques to support business development and growth.

Working closely with the CTO as part of a dedicated development team working to develop state-of-the-art medical imaging software, the Software Engineer will:

• Work with a mature Python/Django codebase to further develop clinical products which give diagnostics information to clinicians
• Work with machine learning concepts to develop existing and new medical image analysis technologies
• Help develop and administer documented procedures around quality and cybersecurity
• Monitor and optimise system performance, availability, and security, troubleshooting/resolving issues across cloud, network and Linux-based systems

The Software Engineer will be joining an established Oxford-university spinout, paving the way in the diagnosis of disease. The Software Engineer will contribute to a supportive team environment, which rewards hard work and innovative thinking. The current work pattern in place is full-time on-site in the Oxford office.

What’s required to be successful in this Software Engineer role?

• Previous commercial development experience coding with Python, with any experience of Django advantageous
• Experience with Git or similar
• Experience of creating and maintaining documentation
• Experience with AWS or GCP would be beneficial, as would any experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, ECS, or EKS).
• An understanding of Linux system administration and networking concepts would be useful
• Any experience of working within a regulated setting and working to one or more of: ISO 13485, 27001, 9001 would be advantageous
