At Logistex, we’re looking for a Software Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in how we build, develop, and scale our software engineering capability. This is a high-impact role with real progression potential,designed to become a key number two within the function as it grows.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading recruitment, onboarding, and development of software engineers
* Driving resource planning to ensure the team can meet current and future project demands
* Managing and improving software processes, quality controls, and KPIs
* Supporting project delivery through strong stakeholder collaboration
* Mentoring and developing team members to maximise performance and engagement
* Providing structure, reporting, and visibility across software operations
You’ll work closely with project management, sales, IT, and customer-facing teams to ensure alignment across the business.
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in software delivery and/or development environments
* Strong project management mindset with the ability to prioritise and organise effectively
* Excellent Excel and reporting skills (comfortable working with data and KPIs)
* Confident communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels
* Someone who enjoys driving continuous improvement and change
* Ability to demonstrate control, flexibility, and ownership in a fast-paced environment
Experience & background
* 5+ years’ experience in software development, ideally with leadership exposure
* Experience leading or supporting recruitment and team development
* Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
* Degree in Computer Science or similar (preferred)

* Based in Kettering (hybrid working) with occasional UK travel
* Minimum one day per week onsite
* 37.5 hours per week
