Are you a passionate Software Tester who thrives in regulated environments where quality, traceability and documentation are just as important as finding defects?
We're working with an innovative healthcare technology company developing software used within critical healthcare and diagnostic environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Software Test Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and compliance of their software products.
The Role
As a Software Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for planning, executing and documenting software testing activities across the development lifecycle. You'll work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure new features, enhancements and releases meet both functional requirements and quality standards.
A key aspect of the role is maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting software development within a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
* Execute manual, functional, regression and integration testing.
* Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts.
* Identify, document and manage software defects through to resolution.
* Support software validation and verification activities.
* Produce clear and detailed test documentation.
* Work closely with development teams on troubleshooting and defect investigation.
* Participate in requirements reviews and release activities.
* Ensure testing processes maintain full traceability and compliance requirements.
* Support continuous improvement of QA and testing processes.
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in:
* Software Testing, QA Engineering or Test Analysis.
* Manual testing and regression testing.
* Creating and maintaining test documentation.
* Defect management and root cause investigation.
* Agile software development environments.
* Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr or similar tools.
* Working within regulated, compliance-driven environments.
Highly Desirable
* Healthcare software experience.
* Medical device software experience.
* Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
* ISO 13485 exposure.
* IEC 62304 exposure.
* Validation and verification (V&V) activities.
* Audit-ready documentation and traceability management Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
