About your new role
Our talented Product Development Team is responsible for researching new and innovative technologies and infrastructure services as part of the ongoing development of our software and services. The Software Tester’s role is to ensure that the system is a technically robust web based product. Individuals will have a key focus on the security, service availability and quality of the system.
You will develop the system ensuring that the product meets required security standards and technology protocols, and offers clients the highest quality of user experience, service availability and security.
Key Responsibilities
As a Software Tester you are expected to undertake the following responsibilities as part of your day to day activities:
Test Execution
Undergo robust testing of our system prior to implementation in accordance with testing and acceptance methodologies as may be required.
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
Performing API testing using Postman or Playwright.
Perform load tests using tools such as Playwright, Jmeter or K6.
Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance tests.
Defect Management & Resolution
Identify, log, and track bugs in JIRA.
Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
System corrections for identified bugs, issues, and problems as may be identified.
Participate in root cause analysis for recurring defects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product owners.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
Participate in requirement and design reviews to identify test scenarios early.
Ensure software quality and compliance with standards and specifications.
Identify areas for automation within manual test processes to improve efficiency and coverage.
Recommend improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
Produce technical procedures and documentation for the applications including user guides.
Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful for this role you will ideally meet these requirements
Desirable: A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience of Playwright automation and the ability to create framework from scratch.
Experience of handling REST API testing using Postman and Playwright
Experience of XHTML and CSS.
Experience of GIT.
Experience of GCP.
Experience of JavaScript/Typescript and AJAX.
Experience of Red Hat and JQuery would be beneficial.
Experience of performance testing using tools like Playwright, Jmeter or K6.
Effective verbal communication skills in particular the ability to provide clear advice.
Ability to deal with a demanding workload which may include conflicting demands on time.
Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels.
