Software Application Specialist

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Software Application Specialist to join our existing experienced team.  

What do we look for in a Software Application Specialist? 

Due to the nature of the role we require someone onsite 2-3 days a week. You must have, or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance.

We are looking for a software application specialist experienced in both application support and administration of the Atlassian suite.  

This role manages and enhances the Atlassian tool suite, ensuring optimal performance and seamless user experiences across the organization. The position plays a key role in supporting team collaboration and streamlining business and service management processes. 

Responsibilities 

• Consult, configure, support, and enhance our Atlassian Cloud Suite of Tools including JSW suite (Jira, Confluence, Service Desk and others).


• Coach, collaborate, and guide cross functional teams to gather, scope, and design requirements to fit our business needs while maintaining system standards and practices.


• Design and enhance system configurations; including simple/complex workflows, schemes, and native automations.


• Collaborate in developing and enhancing system practices /standards around system security, and efficiency.


• Create custom reports on Jira and supported reporting applications using tools and third-party add-ons such as dashboards, filters, and Advanced Roadmap’s plans.


• Support a range of native Atlassian Features such as Automation, Plans, App Links, Forms, etc.


• Guide Project Professionals through effective configuration and use of Jira’s tools/features.


• Contribute to efficiency and cost saving efforts through product configurations and management.

Knowledge required 

• Proficiency in PowerBI development reporting and sourcing data from a variety of data sources would be desirable.


• Able to work independently with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment.


• Ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables at any given time through effective time-management and planning.


• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and communication, both written and spoken.


• Facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a collaborative attitude.
