Sole Charge Accountant/Finance Manager

Accountancy Action is currently working with a well-established business in Watford looking for a sole charge Accountant/Finance Manager for their friendly team. You will work closely with the Sales Team and be the point of contact for all accounts related queries.

This is a standalone role so previous experience of working in an all-encompassing role would be preferred. If you have used Sage that would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Full responsibility for the production of the management accounts

• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecast

• Liaison with auditors at year end

• Preparation of VAT returns

• Full responsibility for purchase ledger process - processing invoices, payment runs, dealing with supplier queries etc • Raising and processing sales ledger invoices

• Credit control

• Credit management

• Work alongside the payroll team

• Responsible for PAYE, NIC & CIS reporting

• Bank reconciliations

• Cash forecasting

The client is looking to get someone started ASAP so interviews will commence this week and next week. Candidates available on short notice would be preferred but they will wait for the right person.

The role is office based 5 days a week working with a lovely team.
