Sole Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location: Melton Mowbray
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm (40 hours per week)
Start: Immediate
Job Type: Temporary, with strong potential to become permanent

We are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to work independently at a static site in Melton Mowbray.

This is a sole operative role, ideal for someone who is confident working on their own, managing their workload and taking responsibility for maintaining the site to a high standard.

Duties include:

* General grounds maintenance

* Ride-on mowing

* Hedge cutting, strimming and general vegetation maintenance

* Operating a buggy/quad-bike-style vehicle with equipment attached

* Managing your own daily workload and prioritising tasks

* Liaising directly with the client regarding maintenance requirements and plans

* General upkeep and presentation of the grounds

* Locking up and securing the site when required

About You:

* Previous grounds maintenance experience is essential

* Confident using ride-on mowers and grounds maintenance equipment

* Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

* Confident and competent operating a buggy/quad-bike-style vehicle

* Good communication skills and able to liaise professionally with the client

* Reliable, organised and takes pride in their work

A full driving licence is not required, provided you are confident operating the on-site vehicle.
