Title: Solicitor - Banking & Finance 
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 

A leading law firm with a strong national presence is looking to recruit a Newly Qualified to 2-year PQE Solicitor to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance team, based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The team is one of the largest and most experienced in Scotland, advising a broad client base that includes financial institutions, corporate borrowers, sponsors, and other key players in the finance sector. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of transactional matters including corporate lending, real estate finance, clean energy and infrastructure finance, as well as supporting on cross-border deals and financial regulatory matters. Applicants should have gained experience in banking and finance during their traineeship and demonstrate strong drafting and analytical skills, commercial awareness, and an interest in transactional work. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time management skills, a proactive and solution-focused approach to legal advice, and a keen interest in developing expertise across sectors such as energy, hospitality, and technology. While not essential, familiarity with legal technology tools—such as e-signing platforms, document automation, and AI-based contract analysis—would be advantageous. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams, including with colleagues in restructuring, real estate, and corporate finance, are key.
