Solicitor – Industrial Disease

Location: Cardiff
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 35 hours, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Start Date: ASAP

With
empathy, attention to detail and legal curiosity, you’ll help clients navigate
life-changing industrial disease claims. At Redkite Solicitors, we’re seeking a
motivated and client-focused Solicitor to support ourIndustrial Disease team in delivering exceptional legal advice and representation.


As part of
our Personal Injury practice, you’ll support clients affected by
workplace-related illness and injury, helping them pursue claims with care,
diligence and confidence. From managing your own caseload under supervision to
assisting on complex matters involving asbestos exposure, respiratory illness,
noise-induced hearing loss and other occupational disease claims, you’ll play a
key role in delivering trusted advice and achieving the right outcomes for
clients and their families

Candidates should be aware that their first
day of employment may be based at an alternative Redkite office within our
network, for group onboarding. A willingness to travel and spend the day away
from your usual place of work is therefore required.


What Will You Be Doing?

  • Manage
    a varied caseload of industrial disease matters with appropriate supervision to
    deliver timely, high-quality legal support.

  • Advise
    clients on liability, evidence and quantum issues to help them understand their
    options and progress their claims with confidence.

  • Draft
    correspondence, witness statements and legal documents to support effective
    case preparation and progression.

  • Liaise
    with clients, medical experts, counsel and third parties to keep matters moving
    and maintain excellent service throughout the claims process.

  • Review
    medical records, employment history and evidential documents to build strong,
    well-prepared cases.

  • Collaborate
    with colleagues across the Personal Injury team to share knowledge, support
    case strategy and achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Maintain
    accurate records and ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures and
    regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute
    to business development and profile-raising activity to support the continued
    growth of the Industrial Disease offering.



Requirements

    a training seat in personal injury, litigation or a closely related area, or
    can demonstrate relevant transferable experience.

    communicator
    – you explain legal
    issues clearly and confidently to clients, colleagues and external contacts.

    – you enjoy working
    as part of a team, asking questions and taking ownership of your development.

  • Interest in claimant
    personal injury work

    experience or enthusiasm for industrial disease, asbestos-related claims or
    occupational illness work would be advantageous
