Solicitor - litigation

The litigation department at Fairplane Solicitors is expanding and we are seeking an ambitious solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE, a strong work ethic and business awareness to join our busy team, based in Swansea city centre.

The successful candidate will have conduct of a caseload of litigation cases and will also have the opportunity to contribute to strategic development of the department in a fast-developing area of law.

The role may suit an individual with previous in-house experience.

The ideal candidate will be distinguished by technical excellence and a passion to provide a premium service to a wide range of clients.

Essential Criteria · Civil litigation experience.

· A sound knowledge of the CPR.

· Strong business awareness · Commitment to teamwork · Excellent organisational skills.

· Exceptional communication skills.

Desirable Criteria · 3+ years PQE.

· Financial mis-selling experience preferred · Supervision of support staff.

· Dealing with litigation matters from commencement of proceedings up to final hearing.

· Understanding accounts ledgers and managing own caseload (including ability to assess merits of case).

· A bright, friendly and professional approach to dealing with clients and professional colleagues.

· Experience of dealing with file reviews.

· Experience of dealing with a case management system, ideally Proclaim.
