Solutions Consultant (Networking and Infrastructure)

This influential role is central to deploying strategic IT projects across pivotal customer engagements within the UK, specifically focusing on the Northern Ireland public sector.

Responsibilities:

Foster and leverage robust relationships within the Northern Ireland public sector to drive strategic growth in alignment with business objectives.
Design and deliver comprehensive network architecture solutions consistent with industry best practices.
Serve as a trusted solution advisor, working directly with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into precise technical specifications.
Spearhead the planning and execution of network enhancements, including expansions and migrations.
Develop and implement Software Defined Networking solutions such as Cisco SDA and ACI.
Oversee the full lifecycle of customer solutions, from design through delivery to ongoing managed services, ensuring high-quality design documentation.
Optimize network performance, ensure the reliability of crucial network services, and implement stringent security measures.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of product offerings through testing and development.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry standards, ensuring compliance and driving innovation.

Skills and Experience:

Experience in Wide and Campus Network Design, including WAN solutions (MPLS, Internet, L2VPNs) and LAN & Wi-Fi solutions.
in Cyber Security specifically Firewalls, IPS, UTM/UTP, SASE, ZTNA, Cloud Security
Strong experience with Data Centre Design Solutions, with specific expertise in Cisco ACI.
Familiarity with Public Cloud Solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Software Defined Networking (SD-WAN, SDA, ACI).
Technical skills including scripting and APIs (Python, YANG, RESTCONF, NETCONF).
Strong command over IT industry principles, current technologies, and emerging trends.
Proven ability to achieve and maintain vendor accreditations and industry certifications.
High-level proficiency in office tools such as Excel, Visio, and Word for exceptional design documentation.
Excellent communication skills, strategic and tactical thinking, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and within a team.
