Sourcing Assistant

As part of the ASOS Sourcing team, you will play an important part in helping uphold the Ethical and Sustainable principles of the Company, ensuring all ASOS Design suppliers are fit for purpose and deliver “Fashion with Integrity”. You will be working closely with our retail teams and suppliers to develop transparent and sustainable supply chains, this will involve managing supplier relationships, supplier on-boarding and working with retail teams on a day to day basis.

What you’ll be doing…

• Supplier introduction, on-boarding, development and ongoing management
• Improving buying and merchandising intelligence this includes training and the production and management of the scorecard
• Managing the Sourcing Administrator to best support the Sourcing Partner as well as the broader Sourcing team
• Working with the Ethical, Sustainable and Fabric teams to deliver our “Fashion with Integrity” objectives commercially, driving strategic business change and global growth
• Collaborating with Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics on account management
• Managing the supplier database, checking scorecard data and ensuring supplier capabilities are kept up to date
• Working on global initiatives to deliver a fit for purpose supply base for retail teams
• Manage and update any cross-costing projects with new and existing suppliers
• Developing and distributing team communication to internal stakeholders and supply base
• Attending UK supplier meetings and trade shows

We’d love to meet someone with… 


• Experience working in a fast pace, retail environment possibly considering moving from other areas of retail e.g. buying, supplier side
• The ability to analyse data in order to set targets and strategy
• Has excellent communication and presentations skills and can adapt their style to different audiences
• Can work as part of a team as well as alone and make decisions
• Has experience in managing a team or team member
• Project management experience
