Sous Chef – Luxury Care Home Dining
£14 per hour | 40 hours per week
We’re hiring a Sous Chef for a high-end, purpose-built care home opening near Aylesbury. This is a rare opportunity to help launch a brand-new service, shaping an exceptional dining experience from day one.

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver restaurant-quality meals in a care setting. You’ll be instrumental in crafting seasonal menus, themed dining experiences, and daily meals that combine taste, nutrition, and beautiful presentation.

What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a professional kitchen
Experience in care home or healthcare catering is highly desirable
Confidence in planning menus for various dietary needs (e.g., IDDSI, allergen-aware)
Strong attention to detail, food hygiene, and safety standards
A warm, team-focused approach with a passion for supporting others
Creative flair and a genuine love for preparing nutritious meals that residents enjoy

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen efficiently and safely
Prepare high-quality meals that meet residents’ individual needs
Mentor and support junior kitchen staff
Maintain hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, temperature logs, etc.)
Contribute to seasonal and themed menu development
Oversee stock control and minimise food waste
