We are seeking a talented
Sous Chef
to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and creativity in the kitchen, along with strong leadership skills to support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
The
Sous chef
will report into the Head Chef, and have a number of direct reports including Lead Chefs and Chef De Partie's. The Sous chef must have a good track record in catering for high volumes and events, with strong leadership skills.

£38,500 per annum, 40 hours per week

Our clients venue is all about quality and innovation, where you will work with the Head Chef and the wider culinary team on menu development and standards to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences for up to 5000 covers per event, ensuring we never compromise on quality and flavour through exceptional professional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and overall kitchen operations
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and specials
- Help with inventory management and ordering supplies as necessary
Skills:
- Experience in culinary arts, including food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred
