Job Description - Sous Chef

Bar des Pres, Mayfair

is Cyril Lignacs first restaurant outside France and is the international flagship. Its ethos will mirror the original site, however fresh design features, dishes and cocktails which suit the London location give this Bar des Pres a unique and charismatic flair of its own.

Sous Chef Role:
We are seeking a passionate and talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As the Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, working closely with Chef Cyril Lignac to create and execute a menu that delights and surprises our guests.
Sous Chef Responsibilities
Assist in the creation and development of the menu, ensuring it reflects the restaurant's French-Japanese fusion concept.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and hygiene.
Lead, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels to minimize waste and control costs.
Uphold all health and safety regulations and ensure the kitchen meets HACCP standards.
Step in for the Head Chef when necessary, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
Sous Chef Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant, preferably with experience in French or Japanese cuisine.
Exceptional culinary skills with a creative flair and attention to detail.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Passion for delivering outstanding food and service.
