Job Description - Sous Chef (Intercontinental Cuisine)

We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting our kitchen operations, specializing in intercontinental cuisine. You will work closely with our Executive Chef, contributing to menu development, overseeing culinary execution, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning, development, and innovation, focusing on intercontinental cuisine.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of culinary staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, cooking techniques, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Maintain high culinary standards, ensuring exceptional taste, presentation, and quality of all dishes.
  • Monitor food production, portion control, and food cost to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating strong culinary skills, professionalism, and a positive work attitude.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and ingredients, incorporating new concepts into menu offerings.
  • Support the Executive Chef in maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery of fresh and high -quality ingredients.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among kitchen staff.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high -quality culinary establishment, specializing in intercontinental cuisine.
  • Strong culinary skills and expertise in intercontinental cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and train culinary staff.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast -paced, high -pressure environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • In -depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong problem -solving and decision -making abilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
