Spa Manager - Devon

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Spa Manager to join their premium coastal spa operation in North Devon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Spa Manager to take responsibility for the overall performance and day-to-day operation of a high-quality spa, working closely with senior management to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Our client is looking for someone who can lead from the front, inspire and develop their team, and ensure consistently high standards across treatments, reception, customer service and the wider spa operation.

The Role

As Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful running of the spa, balancing operational excellence with commercial performance and outstanding customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Managing the day-to-day operation of the spa and ensuring agreed standards are consistently maintained.

* Leading, motivating and developing the spa team.

* Managing staff performance, training and development.

* Supporting senior management with marketing, promotions, programming and business development.

* Monitoring departmental performance and working towards financial and operational targets.

* Managing stock control and carrying out regular stock takes.

* Supporting the organisation and delivery of events, promotions and treatment programmes.

* Ensuring all treatments and reception duties are carried out to the required standards.

* Maintaining a first-class customer journey and ensuring guests receive an exceptional level of service.

* Completing opening and closing procedures when required.

* Identifying and resolving operational issues promptly and efficiently.

* Leading by example in terms of professionalism, appearance, attitude and customer service.

* Providing treatments and supporting wider spa duties when required and covering shifts during periods of absence where necessary.

About You

Our client is looking for a confident and experienced Spa Manager who is passionate about the spa and wellness industry.

You will ideally have:

* Previous experience in a Spa Manager or similar management position – essential.

* Level 3 qualification in Spa Therapy or equivalent.

* A strong passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

* Proven experience leading, motivating and developing a team.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* A confident, professional and approachable personality.

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

* A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

* The ability to support treatments and wider spa duties when required.

* A consistently high standard of personal presentation and professionalism.
