TimePlan Education are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich who are looking to appoint a Spanish Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fluent or highly proficient Spanish speaker who is passionate about supporting young people and would like to gain valuable experience within a secondary school environment.

The Role

As a Spanish Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the school's MFL department, supporting students across Spanish lessons and helping them to develop their confidence and understanding of the language.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting students across Spanish and MFL lessons
Working with students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Supporting students with their spoken and written Spanish
Helping teachers deliver engaging and accessible lessons
Providing additional support to students who require extra guidance
Assisting with classroom activities and student engagement
Building positive relationships with students and encouraging their academic progress
Supporting the wider school community where requiredThe Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for someone who is:

Fluent or highly proficient in Spanish
Confident communicating with secondary-aged students
Passionate about education and supporting young people
Reliable, proactive and professional
Patient and able to build positive relationships with students
Interested in developing their experience within a secondary school setting
Previous experience working with children or within a school environment is desirable, but not essential This role would suit a Spanish graduate, aspiring teacher, language specialist or experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in a secondary school.
