What to expect

As a Speak Up Support Specialist, you will support the Speak Up Manager with the day-to-day delivery and operation of the Speak Up service, helping to ensure concerns are received, triaged, managed and reported on a confidential, fair and consistent manner.



The Speak Up Support Specialist will demonstrate integrity, fairness, and respect, and will remain calm and professional when dealing with sensitive or emotive issues. In addition to case intake and coordination, the role plays an active part in promoting awareness of the Speak Up function; building trust and confidence in the Speak Up process for Employees, Operators, Contractors, and third parties, and in supporting Post Office Limited’s commitment to openness, integrity, and accountability

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to have experience working within a confidential, governance, compliance, investigations, ethics, risk or Speak Up/whistleblowing environment. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will have:



  • Up-to-date and good working knowledge of applicable whistleblowing legislation (PIDA) and best practice guidance.

  • Proven triaging, critical thinking and escalation processes

  • Demonstrable ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • The ability to analyse trends MI and present findings

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience supporting or administering case management or reporting systems

  • Experience delivering presentations, awareness sessions or communications campaigns
