Job Vacancy: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: HD2, Huddersfield
Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only
Start Date: ASAP / September 2025
Salary: Competitive - based on experience and qualifications

A welcoming and inclusive school in the HD2 area of Huddersfield is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
• Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials and delivering tailored support
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment

• Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based or care setting)
• Calm, patient, and empathetic nature
• Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA or SEN-specific training) desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
• The right to work in the UK
• Two professional references
