Job Description - Special Needs Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary SEN school in Lambeth, supporting pupils with complex needs including autism and learning difficulties.
This is an opportunity in a well-resourced, nurturing environment where every day is rewarding and impactful.
You will be:
• Supporting learning and development across the primary age range
• Working alongside experienced teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
• Helping pupils build communication, independence, and confidence
• Providing personal care where required
The school is ideally looking for male Teaching Assistants, or strong female candidates with solid SEN school experience, who are confident in a hands-on role.
Daily supply opportunities are available and can often lead to long-term or permanent positions.
We’re looking for proactive, resilient individuals who are truly passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Candidates must be fully compliant, with an enhanced DBS and references in place.
