Specialist SEN Teacher

We're seeking a specialist SEN Teacher for a Year 9 class of learners working at a Year 7/8 level. Starting this September, you'll follow a primary teaching model-covering Maths, English, PSHE and Humanities-in a full-time, small-class environment. The role will run for one term initially with a strong likelihood of becoming long-term or permanent.

Key Duties:

• Plan and teach creative, accessible lessons to meet diverse learning needs

• Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils facing emotional and behavioural challenges

• Foster consistency, positive behaviour, and re-engagement with learning

• Track and evaluate pupil progress across curriculum and personal goals

• Liaise with colleagues and specialists to ensure tailored support

Requirements:

• QTS/QTLS and experience in SEN or SEMH education

• Ability to deliver a cross-curricular primary model to older learners

• Excellent interpersonal skills, patience and adaptability

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Eligible to work in the UK
